Minot Skyrockets News Release

Minot, ND - April 4, 2007 - Skyrockets Head Coach Chris Daleo is headed to Portsmouth, Virginia for the annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournment (PIT). This annual event marks the beginning of the summer scouting tour for head coaches across the nation. The 55th Annual PIT is being held April 4-7, 2007, and is a showcase for outstanding basketball players in their senior year of college.

The PIT is the only tournament for college seniors to participate in and be evaluated by the National Basketball Association prior to the NBA's pre-draft camp in Orlando. It is the nation's oldest amateur basketball tournament and is recognized by NBA and European scouts as the premier showcase for future professional players.

The tournament consists of eight teams, each made up of 8 players from around the nation. Losing teams continue playing in the consolation bracket, and winning teams play for the championship trophy, providing coaches and fans with 12 exciting games to see some of the best talent on the court.

"It's already time to get back to work and see some rookies. Hopefully, we can find somebody who will help Minot win games," said Coach Daleo.
