Rockford, Ill.- With summer winding down, Rockford's annual "On The Waterfront Festival", Illinois' largest music festival, gets under way this weekend marking the unofficial end to the season. The Rockford IceHogs merchandise store will be open during the festival and fans can take advantage of some great merchandise deals while registering to win some IceHogs prizes.
"On The Waterfront" kicks off on Thursday night, and beginning Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. patrons will need a festival button to gain admittance to the end of summer gala. The IceHogs Corporate office, located at 202 West State St. will be open from 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1 and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 and Sunday, Sept. 3. In observance of the Labor Day holiday, the IceHogs office will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4.
The merchandise sale includes up to 30% off on current in-stock sizes and product (not including jerseys or customizations). There will be some one-of-a-kind sale items available as well. This "On The Waterfront" special is only available at the IceHogs merchandise store this weekend.
Fans that stop into the IceHogs office can register to win season tickets for the upcoming season as well. One Grand Prize winner will be picked for the full season tickets along with other prizes. A pair of weekend Season Tickets (29-games) along with a 10-game package and a replica road jersey will also get raffled off to all participants who enter the drawing. The raffle will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
Kids can hang out with the IceHogs as well at "On The Waterfront" in the "Kids Castle". The "Kids Castle" is located in the parking garage above Happy Wok, known by Hogs fans' as the Arena Club Parking Garage. Kids can partake in a coloring activity at the IceHogs Booth, pick up free balloons, register to win a free Runt's Club Membership or Opening Night tickets and you can pick-up a flier to purchase Opening Night tickets at a special group rate.
Also, one of the final rounds of this summer's online auction kicked off this week on the IceHogs official team Web site, icehogs.com. This week's featured game-worn jerseys include goaltender Brenden Cuthbert's road game-worn jersey and winger Matt Van Arkel's game-worn home jersey. Other items include an autographed Chaz Johnson puck and lockerroom nameplate and an autographed "Hockey Where You Live" poster featuring Bruce Watson, Steve Pelletier and Evgueni Nourislamov.
The auction closes on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 9 p.m. Fans can bid on the auction items on the IceHogs official team Web site, icehogs.com.
