(Parma, OH)- The Cleveland Jr. A Barons have announced their 2005-06 schedule , for their 13th season in the North American Hockey League.. The Barons this season will be playing their home games at the Lakefront Arena, also known as Barons Arena at 5310 Hauserman Rd. in Parma, OH.
The Barons will open the season on Friday September 9th against the Alpena IceDiggers. The home schedule features 25 games of which 2 games will played on Friday night 7:30 PM, 12 games on Saturday night 7:30 PM and 11 games on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 PM
Barons Assistant General Manager, Rob Gagne, stated "We are very excited with return of Junior hockey to City of Parma. The games at the Lakefront Arena will provide the fans with an upclose view of the future stars of the NHL. Our home schedule is one that caters to the hockey fan in the Cleveland area.
The Barons will face their arch rival, the Mahoning Valley (Youngstown) Phantoms 14 times (7 home, 7 away) beginning on Saturday, October 8th 7:30 PM at Lakefront Arena.
The Barons will be competing again in the North Division of the North American Hockey League. They will divisional opponents in the Mahoning Valley ( Youngstown , OH) Phantoms, Traverse City (MI) North Stars, Alpena (MI) IceDiggers, and the United States National Development Program ( Ann Arbor, MI), which features the best 17 and 18 year old players in the United States.
The barons will play a 58 game schedule beginning Friday, September 9th, 2005 and ending on Monday , March 20th, 2006
