Clark Cup Playoffs: Round 2 Begins Saturday

Ralston, NE - The Omaha Lancers have found out who their first opponent in the Clark Cup Playoffs will be. The Fargo Force have emerged out of the Round 1 series against the Tri-City Storm on Wednesday night. The Force swept Tri-City in the best of 3 series in Fargo by a score of 5-1 and 3-0.
The second round of the Clark Cup Playoffs will start on the Lancers home ice. Ralston Arena will host Game 1 Saturday, April 21 at 1:00 PM, followed by Game 2 Sunday, April 22 at 5:05 PM.
Here is a look at the Round 2 Schedule:
Game 1 - Saturday, April 21 at Ralston Arena - 1:00 pm
Game 2 - Sunday, April 22 at Ralston Arena - 5:05 pm
Game 3 - Tuesday, April 24 at Scheels Arena (Fargo) - 7:05 pm
Game 4 (if necessary) - Wednesday, April 25 at Scheels Arena (Fargo) - 7:05 pm
Game 5 (if necessary) - Friday, April 27 at Ralston Arena - 7:05 pm
The winner of the Lancers and Force series will face off against the winner of the Waterloo and Lincoln/Sioux Falls series in the Western Conference Finals.
This is the first time the Lancers have been to the Clark Cup Playoffs in 3 years. In 2015, the Lancers were the 3rd seed facing off against Tri-City. The Storm went on to sweep the series against the Lancers. This is the Lancers 27th playoff appearance in the last 30 seasons.
Previous Clark Cup Playoff contenders on the team include Lancers Goaltender, Zach Driscoll, and Defenseman, Travis Mitchell. Driscoll backed up the 2014-15 Lancers squad when they faced Tri-City in Round 1. Mitchell, was with Muskegon last year and played in 4 postseason games.
The Lancers finished tied for second in the USHL with a record of 39-16-2-3 and 83 points.
