Cincinnati Kings News Release
Kansas comes to town on Friday to face Kings at the Cincinnati Gardens
Before the best home crowd of the season, the Cincinnati Kings defeated the Louisville Lightning, 9-3, on December 30 at the Cincinnati Gardens. The Kings were led by a four-goal night by Allen Eller. The win gives the Kings a 3-5 record, and they also advance in Open Cup play as their regular PASL match with the Lightning doubled as an Open Cup game. The win also moved the Kings into a tie for the final playoff spot.
On Friday, it will be the first time that the Kings host the Kansas Magic who stand at 4-1 in their first season in the league. Goalkeeper Jason Jacob is fourth in the PASL in goals against, with a 6.43 average. Kansas is second in the Eastern Division, just behind division-leading Detroit. Keep your eyes on their top scorers, #20 Forward Bryan Williams and #6 Midfielder Brett Porter, both with eight points each so far this season. Williams leads the team with seven goals this season.
