Cincinnati Kings' Saturday game postponed
April 22, 2006 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Cincinnati Kings News Release
RICHMOND, Va (April 22) -- The Cincinnati Kings' scheduled game tonight against the Richmond Kickers of the United Soccer Leagues' Second Division has been postponed because of wet field conditions at the University of Richmond Stadium.
Showers and thunderstorms have dumped nearly two inches of rain on the Richmond area in the last 24 hours. University and team officials decided playing tonight's soccer game could cause too much damage to the natural grass field.
The game has been re-scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. at the University of Richmond Stadium. The Kings are 0-1 in the 2006 season after Friday night's 1-0 loss to defending Second Divsion Champion Charlotte.
