Cincinnati Kings News Release

WILDER, KY -- The Cincinnati Kings rallied once again in the last minutes of a game to pull out a point as they earned a 2-2 tie against Crystal Palace Baltimore Saturday night in United Soccer Leagues Second Division action.

While the Kings opted to wear their white and black away uniforms, Baltimore found themselves at home on the Kings' home pitch as they opened a 2-0 first-half lead. Harold Urquijo opened up the scoring in the 18th minute as he found the back of the net off a Matthew Mbuta pass. Baltimore struck again in the 28th minute when Josh Alcala was able to sneak a shot past the Kings' defense and their on-rushing goalkeeper, Craig Salvati. Urquijo was credited with the assist on Baltimore's second goal.

The Kings would not send the crowd of 1,433 home without anything to cheer about though as they produced their third second-half rally in as many home games. Mike McGinlay got on the Kings on the scoreboard with a penalty kick in the 81st minute. Seven minutes later, second half sub Thies "The Hammer" Hermann scored to tie the game, 2-2. Ashleigh Townsend earned the assist on Hermann's goal.

McGinlay's goal was his fifth of the season and gives him 11 points on the season, both team-highs for the Kings. Hermann has two goals and seven points this season.

The Kings had 14 shots on goal, including nine in the second half, to Baltimore's 13. Salvati was credited with eight saves for the Kings, while Baltimore's goalie, Brian Rowland, had five saves. The Kings committed 14 fouls to Baltimore's 17.
