RICHMOND, Va--The Cincinnati Kings dropped the first of two weekend playoff games to the Richmond Kickers Friday night, 2-1, at the University of Richmond in United Soccer Leagues Second Division semi-final action.
The Kickers, winners of the regular season Second Division title, scored first, in the 40th minute, on a goal from Matthew Watson. The Kings tied it up just before the half, at the 45th minute, on a Josh Barton score.
The game remained tied in the second half until the 60th minute, when the Kickers' Michael Burke scored on a penalty kick.

The two will meet again on Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Xavier University Soccer Complex. The team with the highest aggregate score between the two games will advance to the finals against the winner of the Charlotte-Pittsburgh playoff series. Charlotte won the first game of that two-game series, 4-0.
