
Cincinnati Kings eliminated from USL soccer playoffs

CINCINNATI--The Cincinnati Kings end the 2006 season with a 0-0 tie at home to the Richmond Kickers in the semi-finals of the United Soccer Leagues Second Division, ending their hopes of a berth in the league championship game.
Coupled with the Friday night loss to Richmond on the road, 2-1, the Kings are eliminated by aggregate score. Richmond, the regular season Second Division champion, advances to the title game August 26th against Charlotte.
A crowd of 1,202 at the Xavier University Soccer Complex saw the Kings with 10 shots on goal, to the Kickers' nine. Kings' goalie Jordan James recorded four saves, three in the second half, while the Kickers had one official save.
The Kings end thir second season 9-9-4, good for fourth place in the USL Second Division.
