ChopStix Lacrosse Grand Opening

PORTLAND, Oct. 17, 2006 - The Portland LumberJax and Jaxon will help launch the grand opening of Portland's newest lacrosse-specific store, ChopStix Lacrosse, this Saturday, Oct. 21. Guests will have an opportunity to receive gift bags (while supplies last) and a chance to win prizes throughout the day. The event begins at 11 a.m. in their Hillsboro location at 1982 N.E. 25th Ave.

ChopStix Lacrosse, LLC is a specialty store geared toward women and youth lacrosse players. They stock quality equipment from top lacrosse brands which include Harrow, Riddell, Shamrock, deBeer and STX. Their store features an on-site training area with a throwing ball and shot cage to test new equipment and to perfect lacrosse skills. They offer a wide-array of services for individuals, teams and coaches including one-on-one training sessions, coaching clinics, player camps and workshops for new teams.

"The opening of this store is proof that lacrosse is growing at all levels for both girls and boys, spreading to the outer regions of Portland," said the Jax Community Relations Director Adam Bysouth. "The combination of sales and an indoor playing surface to test equipment will make for a unique retail outlet for the lacrosse community. I am looking forward to attending this event."
