Published on January 11, 2014 under Central Hockey League (CHL) News Release
GLENDALE, AZ (January 11, 2014) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Missouri Mavericks defenseman Matt Stephenson has been suspended for one (1) game as a result of his actions in Friday's game versus the Rapid City Rush.
Stephenson's suspension is a result of a request for review of a hit in the first period that was deemed an illegal hit to the head of an opponent. Stephenson received no penalty on the play during the game.
The defenseman will miss Missouri's game on Saturday night versus Rapid City.
