
CHL Announces 2010-11 Broadcast Schedule on Rogers Sportsnet and RDS

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League in association with Rogers Sportsnet and RDS today announced the 2010-11 schedule of national and regional CHL regular season games that will be broadcast live on Rogers Sportsnet and RDS beginning in January, 2011.
With six nationally broadcasted regular season games on Rogers Sportsnet, CHL fans across Canada have the opportunity to watch some of the top teams in the WHL, OHL, and QMJHL this season. All three nationally broadcasted games from the QMJHL will also appear live on RDS. In addition, 11 other CHL regular season games will be broadcast live on regional Rogers Sportsnet channels.
The broadcast schedule also includes three playoff games along with all CHL national events such as the 2011 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game on Wednesday January 19, 2011, in Toronto, ON, and the 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup in Mississauga, ON, May 20-29, 2011.
The 2010-11 CHL regular season broadcast schedule on Rogers Sportsnet and RDS begins Sunday January 9, 2011, featuring the Moncton Wildcats hosting the Rimouski Oceanic. The game can be seen on running delay at 7:30 pm Eastern time on Rogers Sportsnet East and Rogers Sportsnet Ontario channels, and at 5:30 pm Mountain time on Rogers Sportsnet West, and 4:30 pm Pacific time on Rogers Sportsnet Pacific.

Additional playoff games and broadcast times will be announced at a later date. The 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup features the host Mississauga St. Michael's Majors with champions from the WHL, OHL, and QMJHL competing for the national championship. All six round-robin games, playoff tiebreaker (if necessary), semi-final, and championship final will all be broadcast by Rogers Sportsnet and RDS from May 20-29 with specific times to be announced at a later date.
The CHL and Rogers Sportsnet, partners since 1998, announced a five-year partnership extension in May, 2009.
