
Chill announce details for tryouts

The Colorado Chill has announced that the tryouts will be held on Saturday, November 20th from 9:00am. â4:00pm. in Fort Collins.
The tryouts will be used to help fill the 2-3 local roster positions that remain available. Local roster positions for the NWBL are set up for ladies who live in the area, practice daily with the team, and suit up for home games with the opportunity to make the travel roster. It is expected that the Chill will sign 2 WNBA caliber players independent of the tryouts.
"We are expecting a high-quality of talent to show up for the tryouts," said Kelly Packard, Head Coach for the Chill. "We think that we will be able to pick 2-3 highly talented ladies to round out a great roster for the 2005 season."
The Colorado Chill is expecting 10-20 players to show up at the tryouts. Five of the six already signed players for the Chill, Katie Cronin, Becky Hammon, Teresa Hinz, Shawna Hawes, and Erin Scholz will be on hand to run drills with the hopeful candidates. Ruth Riley will be unable to attend due to previously scheduled commitments. Tryouts are open to the public.
Any individuals who might be interested in trying out for the Colorado Chill should call Kim at Triple Crown Sports at 970-223-6644 ext. 167. The tryouts will be located at the Gym of the Rockies, which is located at 1800 Heath Parkway in Fort Collins. Other NWBL tryout information is listed on the league website at www.nwbl.com.
