Johnstown Chiefs News Release
Johnstown, Pa. - For the 2008-09 season, the Johnstown Chiefs want to give money to their fans. Unlike the Dire Straits song, though, the fans won't get this money for nothing. The Chiefs have introduced their Referral Rewards Program which will allow their fans to earn money for each ticket they help to sell.
Through the Referral Rewards Program, Chiefs ticket holders will be able to receive cold, hard cash simply by referring their friends to buy tickets! For every ticket that a referred person buys through a Season Ticket Plan, Mini Plan, or Total Choice Flex Plan, the person who referred them will earn $1. For example, if a season ticket holder's friend buys four (4) full-season plans, the existing season ticket holder will receive $144! Also, there is no limit to how many people you are eligible to refer, so the earning potential is unlimited. Those who participate in the Referral Rewards Program can elect to receive their rewards in cash, or in store credits to be used on Chiefs merchandise.
The rules for the Referral Rewards Program are as follows:
- You must have renewed the same (or an expanded) ticket plan held during the 2007-08 season. If you have relocated your seat but kept the same (or expanded) your plan, you are still eligible. - The people that you refer must purchase a ticket plan (minimum of four games) for the 2008-09 season. - The person that you refer must be paid-in-full for their plan before you are eligible to receive your Referral Rewards. - Referral Rewards will be paid out immediately after the first regular season game of the 2008-09 season. - In order to be eligible for Referral Rewards, the person that you refer may not have held a Chiefs ticket plan during the 2007-08 season.
"Everyone with the Chiefs is very happy to offer such an exciting way for our loyal customers to earn extra cash," says Director of Business Operations Doug Nelson.
"Our fans are the most enthusiastic and dedicated people in the entire ECHL. They are always a great help to team on home ice, just look at our 20 wins at the War Memorial last year. We couldn't ask for better people to have out in the community on our behalf trying to bring in new fans. And we're more than happy to offer a great reward for their efforts," added Director of Communication and Customer Relations Ray Schmitt.
Referral Rewards Program forms will be mailed out to all ticket holders from the 2007-08 season in the coming days, and they will also be on hand at the Chiefs' office located inside the Cambria County War Memorial.
The Chiefs' 21st season in the ECHL gets under way on Friday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m. against the Trenton Devils at Sovereign Bank Arena. The Chiefs return to Johnstown for their home opener the very next night against the Wheeling Nailers at 7:05 p.m. You won't want to miss a minute of the action! Full Season, Mini, and Total Choice Flex ticket packages are all available now. We have a ticket plan that's right for everyone so reserve yours today by calling 814-539-1799 or 1-800-SLAPSHOT.
