CHICO- The North American Baseball League and the Chico Outlaws announced the 2011 regular season schedule today. The Outlaws will open on the road against Maui on Thursday, May 26th. The opener will be the start of the Outlaws longest road trip of the season, a 19 game set for the Outlaws. The road trip will consist of 4 series, beginning with a 6 game series against Maui (May 26-31), then 6 more games at Yuma, followed by 4 games at Calgary, and Chico will finish the road trip with three games against Edmonton.

The home opener will be Saturday, June 18th, against the Calgary Vipers. The first home stand of the year will start with a bang as a fireworks display is scheduled to commemorate the North American Baseball League's inaugural season. The seven game home series will be played in 5 days (June 18-22), marked by doubleheaders in the second and third games of the series.

Throughout the season, the Outlaws will play numerous "home" games away from Nettleton Stadium. The first series affected by this is against Maui (July 19-22). The first two games of the series will be played at Tony Zupo Field in Lodi; both games will be doubleheaders. The Outlaws will also play games in Redding against Yuma (August 2-7). The first three games will be played at Tiger Field in Redding, while the second three will be played at Shasta College. Lastly, the final homestand of the year will conclude with the final two games of the series at Tiger Field.

The longest homestand of year will be a 21 game, 20 day stay at Nettleton. The homestand features three series against Edmonton, Lake County, and Maui including two games against Lodi.

The 2011 schedule would make Ernie Banks proud, as the Outlaws will "play two" eleven times this season. Nine of the doubleheaders will be at home.
