Top of the League: Let's Go Storm! Chicago sits on top of the MISL in Power Plays, with a 51.8% conversion rate... Storm rookie forward Stephen Armstrong ranks first in the league in power play goals with 11... Defender and team captain Gaston Pernia ranks second in the league in blocks with 49... Midfielder Mariano Bollella is third in the MISL in assists with 21... Three Storm players rank in the top 20 in the MISL in points (Stephen Armstrong, Mark Ughy and Mariano Bollella).
Firsts: Saturday versus the Milwaukee Wave, defender Randy Soderman scored two three-point goals. It marked the first time Soderman had two three-pointers in one game... The Storm is guaranteed to have a .500 or better record this season. That marks the first time in he teams three year history.
Storm Record Breakers: Rookie Stephen Armstrong has a team high, and league rookie high 28 goals on the season. One goal shy of the team record of 29 goals in a season set by Novica Marojevic in 2004-05... The Storms eight road wins breaks the teams previous high of five in a season.
Personal Best: The Storm has now won five straight, setting a new high win streak for the season.... Goalkeeper Jeff Richey's six wins ties a personal best for the Ft. Wayne, IN. native... Target man Mark Ughy has set new career highs for goals in a season (22), assists in a season (13), points (57) and blocks (14)... Brazilian defender Fabinho has set personal bests in blocks in a season (21), points (20) and goals (6)... Midfielder Matthew Stewart has tied a career best 19 goals.
Hot Streaks: Goalkeeper Jeff Richey has won ten straight games in net dating back to March 19, 2006... Rookie forward Stephen Armstrong has had a goal or an assist in each of the last seven games... Target man Mark Ughy has nine goals, seven assists and a block in the last five games... Midfielder Mariano Bollella has nine goals, five assists and six blocks in the last seven games.
