Versus California: The first time these two teams matched up this season it was a pair of rookies that stood out for the Storm in the win. Rookie forward Stephen Armstrong scored his first three-point goal and added a two-point goal and Rookie defender Chris Brisson scored his first career MISL goal, a game winning two-point goal... Target men Chris Handsor and Mark Ughy each scored a two-point goal and an assist in the first match up of the season against California.

On Top of the League: Go Storm! Chicago sits tied atop the MISL standings with a 5-3 record, the best start in team history... Team captain Gaston Pernia is first in the MISL in blocked shots with 15... Midfielder Mariano Bollella is second in the MISL in assists with ten and tied for first in the league in game winning goals with two... Rookie forward Stephen Armstron is tied for second in the MISL in restart goals with three...

First Timers: Midfielder Andy Rosenband scored his first goal of the season Sunday versus Detroit.

Power Plays/Penalty Kills: The Storm leads the league in power plays with a 60.0% conversion rate... Chicago is second in the league in penalty kills with the same 69.2% kill percentage.

Milestones: Sunday's game versus the Detroit Ignition at the Sears Centre was a historical night for three Storm players. Midfielder Mariano Bollella earned his 100th career assist; his 10th in eight games as a member of the Storm and team captain Gaston Pernia had three blocks, moving his career total to 250 blocked shots in the NPSL/MISL. Target man Mark Ughy earned his fifth blocked shot of the season, already a career season best for the Hungarian.

Hot Streaks: Mariano Bollella is averaging 1.25 assists per game... Team captain Gaston Pernia is averaging 1.87 blocks per game this season... Forward Awadalla Morad has had at least one goal or an assist in five straight games... Target man Mark Ughy is averaging a goal a game on the season...Goalkeeper Jeff Richey has now won his fifth straight regular season game in net... Rookie Stephen Armstrong is averaging a goal a game this season.

Road Warriors: The Storm are 2-1 on the road this season after only winning two road game in 2005-06.
