HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (April 1, 2009) - Do you have a serious interest in taking your soccer skills to the next level, or are you just looking for a fun and safe way to spend part of your summer? The Chicago Storm Summer Soccer Camps have you covered in 2009, with 40 weeklong sessions throughout Chicagoland.
Head Coach Steve Morris and professional Storm players teach at every camp, helping players ages 4-17 get the most from their abilities and refining all parts of their game. Every camper also receives a T-shirt, soccer ball, certificate of participation and a ticket voucher for the Storm's 2009-10 season opener.
A new Chicago Storm Summer Soccer Camps website provides all the important information, including the schedule tuition information and biographies of the camp directors. In addition to the soccer camps, the Storm Chasers Dance Team conducts seven three-day camps for aspiring dancers ages 4-17. Registration and schedule information also is available through the web site.
Storm Summer Soccer Camps are divided into the following categories:
Mini-Kickers: 9 a.m. to noon, ages 4-6; idea for beginners looking to learn the basics of soccer in an entertaining environment. Cost: $125.
Half-Day Camp: 9 a.m. to noon, ages 7-17; designed for recreational and intermediate players who desire to enhance their technical and tactical skills. Cost: $125.
Full-Day Camp: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a lunch break, ages 7-17; morning session consists of technical training; afternoon session focuses on tactical and team strategies. Cost: $160.
Striker/Keeper Academy: 9 a.m. to noon, ages 7-17; develop the techniques and skills for scoring goals and stopping them. Cost: $125.
Team camp: 9 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m. or 5 to 8 p.m., ages 7-17; minimum of 12 players per team. Our professional coaching staff will come to your field of choice and run a full-week training camp for your team. The camp focuses on team concepts such as fitness, attacking, defending, tactics, set plays and more. Cost: $140 per player.
The Chicago Storm are members of the Xtreme Soccer League. Home games are played December through April at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates.
