Chicago Storm Presents Storm Soccer Camps

Chicago (Thursday, March 17, 2005) – The Chicago Storm announced today the formation of the Storm Soccer Camps, which will kickoff this summer throughout Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. The camps will start on Monday, June 6 at Centennial Park in Orland Park, IL. "We are very happy to present our camp program," said Storm Head Coach and GM Frank Klopas. "We feel this will be a valuable and fun program for the children looking to learn more about soccer. We feel the camps will be very unique and they will give the children a chance to develop their skills by learning from professional coaches and players."

Chicago Storm Soccer Camps will be available for children of the ages of four through 15 and they will be instructed by Klopas, Storm Assistant Coach and Camp Director Oscar Albuquerque, Storm leading scorer Novi Marojevic and other coaches and players. All campers will receive a t-shirt, soccer ball, 20% coupon for purchasing Storm merchandise, camp completion certificate and a voucher for two tickets to a Storm match. The complete Storm Soccer Camps schedule will run from June 9 through August 19, 2005 with camps at the following sites: Chicago, Crown Point (Indiana), Darien, Overland Park, Rockford, Rolling Meadows, Romeoville, Round Lake, Schaumburg, Streamwood and more to come.

Formed on June 3, 2004, the Chicago Storm became the seventh team in the MISL, joining the two-time defending champion Baltimore Blast, Cleveland Force, Kansas City Comets, Milwaukee Wave, Philadelphia Kixx and St. Louis Steamers. The California Cougars will join the league for the start of the 2005-06 season to bring the leagues total to eight teams. Storm home games are played at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago.
