Chicago Storm: organization looks forward to change
June 2, 2008 - Major Indoor Soccer League 2 (MISL 2)
Chicago Storm News Release
OFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. - The Chicago Storm begin Summer Soccer and Dance Camps, presented by AMCORE Bank next week. And with the excitement of its third summer of camps comes the welcome change in league structure. The Major Indoor Soccer League ceased operations on Friday, May 30, and cleared the way for reorganization.
"The MISL founding documents were inherently flawed, and after several months of discussion, the Management Committee of the MISL voted unanimously on April 30, 2008, to dissolve the entity," Chicago Storm Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Brian Loftin said Monday, June 2.
"The consensus of the Management Committee, followed by the dissolution of the MISL, now paves the way for the launch of a strong business-driven league. Now we look forward to another summer of successful camps, and to the formal announcement of the 2008-2009 season schedules."
Details of the new league structure will be available before the end of June.
Founded in 2004, the Chicago Storm provide fast-paced professional indoor soccer. The Storm play their home games at the state-of-the-art Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates.
