Chicago Storm News Release
HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - Chicago Storm COO and GM Brian Loftin announced the hiring of Thomas M. Maloney as the Storm's Executive Vice President of Sales, effective immediately. Maloney is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of sales for Chicago's professional indoor soccer team. Maloney replaces Emily Ballus who served in this capacity for the past 6 months as a short term independent Contractor.
"We are extremely pleased to announce Tom's hiring," said Brian Loftin. "We made tremendous strides last season both on and off the field, with the help and organization of Emily Ballus, and we greatly appreciate her help in acquiring Tom. Tom brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise and contacts in corporate sales. This is a sector of business we barely touched over the course of our first three seasons, as we concentrated on other areas of growth."
Maloney, 41, joins the Storm with an extensive background in sales and sales management. Most recently he served as the Director of Sales for Arlington Park Race Course in Arlington Heights, IL., where he lead the sales team to double digit revenue growth in four consecutive years. Previously, Maloney held sales positions with Cisco Systems and Industrial and Financial Systems.
The Chicago Storm is a member of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) since 2004. Chicago's professional indoor soccer team plays its home games at the all-new Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates.
