
Chicago Storm Activates Forward Awadalla Morad From IR

Chicago (Friday, March 11, 2005) â The Chicago Storm announced today that they have activated forward Awadalla Morad from the injured reserve list. The Palestinian born forward will be available to Storm Head Coach Frank Klopas this weekend as the Storm hosts the Kansas City Comets on Saturday, March 12 at 7:00 p.m. CT at the UIC Pavilion. The Storm will then travel to Cleveland to face the Force at 2:05 p.m. CT. Both games can be heard live on www.chicagostorm.net.
"We are happy that Awadalla is healthy and can play again," said Storm Head Coach and GM Frank Klopas. "He has been a big part of the Storm's success this season and we are happy to have him back on the field as we look to qualify for the playoffs."
The Burbank, IL native underwent a sports hernia procedure in January and is active for the first time, since a December 18 loss at Kansas City, which saw him score a team-record four goals in the 9-8 overtime loss. He has tallied 11 goals and four assists in eight games during his rookie campaign.

Formed on June 3, 2004, the Chicago Storm became the seventh team in the MISL, joining the two-time defending champion Baltimore Blast, Cleveland Force, Kansas City Comets, Milwaukee Wave, Philadelphia Kixx and St. Louis Steamers. The California Cougars will join the league for the start of the 2005-06 season to bring the leagues total to eight teams. Storm home games are played at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago.
