Chicago Sky News Release
CHICAGO - Tickets to see the Chicago Sky in the 2014 WNBA Playoffs are on sale now. Amidst a tight race in the Eastern Conference, each remaining game holds playoff implications. Following a 2013 season in which the Sky earned its first playoff berth in franchise history, the team looks to secure their second post-season appearance in pursuit of the 2014 WNBA Championship.
Tickets are available for the first, second and final rounds of the playoffs. The final seeding, parings, dates and times will not be determined until the conclusion of the regular season on Sunday, August 17, 2014.
"We are confident in our position," said Adam Fox, Chicago Sky president and CEO. "Entering the final stretch of the regular season, now with some key players back in the lineup, our goal to secure our second playoff berth is within reach. There is great basketball ahead, and we welcome our fans to join us in this exciting run."
Behind the Atlanta Dream (16-9), the Eastern Conference playoff spots are wide open for the remaining five teams. The remaining five teams stand within three games of each other: Washington (13-14), Indiana (12-14), New York (11-14), Chicago (10-16) and Connecticut (10- 17). With six of the Sky's remaining eight games against Eastern Conference opponents, the team has the opportunity to determine its own playoff fate.
Tickets for the first round start at $18 . Fans can also lock in a seat for every Sky Playoff game at a discounted rate by taking advantage of a Playoff Strip. To purchase tickets call 866.SKY.WNBA or visit http://www.ticketmaster.com/Chicago-Sky- tickets/artist/1020273?list_view=1&brand=sky
