Chicago Shamrox Host Scoop N' Shoot Competition April 7

Hoffman Estates, Ill. March 28, 2007 - The Chicago Shamrox will be hosting the annual RBK Scoop N' Shoot Competition on Saturday, April 7 from 9:00 a.m. until noon at the Libertyville Sports Complex in Libertyville, IL. The competition, which is hosted by every team in the NLL each year, tests the lacrosse skills of kids ages 9 - 14.

The RBK Scoop N' Shoot competition is free of charge and the first 100 kids that signup will receive a free RBK Scoop N' Shoot t-shirt and a free ticket to the Shamrox game on Saturday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. when the Chicago Shamrox take on the Toronto Rock. Additional tickets to the April 7 game can be purchased at a discounted rate of $20 each.

Participants in the competition will be divided into two different age groups, 9 - 11 and 12 - 14, with the top three finishers in each age group competing against each other during half-time of the Shamrox game. The second place finisher in each age group will receive a gift card good for one free pair of Rebook shoes and the winner will not only receive a gift card for one free pair of Rebook shoes but also a Chicago Shamrox replica jersey.

The Shamrox next Home Game is Sunday, April 1 when the Shamrox take on the Edmonton Rush at the Sears Centre arena at 3:00 p.m. Prior to Sunday's game, a dodge ball tournament will be held with the top two teams playing during half-time.
