Chicago Rush News Release

CHICAGO (April 5, 2011) - Chicago Rush defensive back, Vic Hall, has been named Defensive Player of the Week, the AFL announced Tuesday afternoon.

Hall had an outstanding performance on Saturday against the Cleveland Gladiators, totaling 10.5 tackles including one tackle for loss. Hall also intercepted Cleveland quarterback Kurt Rocco late in the first quarter and returned the pick for 30 yards.

"I cannot think of a more deserving player," said Head Coach Bob McMillen. "Hall has been a force on this defense and we are excited to see him continue to develop."

The rookie from University of Virginia was briefly signed with the New York Jets and Chicago Bears before joining the Rush in 2011. Hall leads the Rush with 37.5 tackles through four games in the 2011 season. He also has three interceptions on the season with five additional pass breakups.
