
Banks, Hall, Moye-Moore Earn Week 4 Honors

TULSA, OKLA. - Iowa QB BRAD BANKS, Chicago WR/DB VIC HALL and Orlando FB/LB MARLON MOYE-MOORE have been named Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week, Riddell Defensive Player of the Week and JLS Ironman of the Week, respectively, for Week 4 of the 2011 AFL season. In addition to these three awards, the AFL is also awarding the best catch of the week, the playmaker of the week and the highlight of the week. The Cutters Catch of the Week award winner for Week 4 is WR SALE KEY of the Jacksonville Sharks, while the NiFTy Playmaker of the Week is Cleveland WR TROY BERGERON. The Spalding Highlight of the Week award goes to the ARIZONA RATTLERS for their comeback drive against Orlando.
RUSSELL ATHLETIC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Banks (6-0, 212, Iowa) completed 24-of-37 passes for 383 yards and a franchise record 10 touchdowns in Iowa's 76-69 victory over San Jose in Week 4. Banks played a role in every Iowa score on the night, rushing four times for 17 yards, including a seven-yard touchdown run with 50 seconds left in the game.
RIDDELL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Hall (5-9, 185, Virginia) led the Rush with 10.5 tackles in the team's 48-55 loss to Cleveland in Week 4. Hall also recorded a 30-yard interception return in the contest. He came away with a tackle for loss and one pass breakup as well.
JLS IRONMAN OF THE WEEK Moye-Moore (6-2, 250, Maryland) found the end zone twice - and on both sides of the ball - in the first quarter of Orlando's 47-48 loss to Arizona in Week 2. He scored the game's first points with a one-yard touchdown run. He made his presence felt on the defensive side of the ball later in the first period with a 21-yard interception return for a score. It was his first of two interceptions on the night.
CUTTERS CATCH OF THE WEEK Key (6-5, 215, Idaho State) flipped over the boards to make a one-handed touchdown catch with 4:19 to play in the first quarter of Jacksonville's 54-30 victory over Tampa Bay. Key finished with nine catches for 86 yards and two touchdowns on the night.
NIFTY PLAYMAKER OF THE GAME Bergeron (6-2, 195, Middle Tennessee State) tied a Cleveland franchise-record with six touchdown grabs in the team's 55-48 victory over Chicago. He had 10 receptions for 187 yards in the contest and finished the game with 201 all-purpose yards.
SPALDING HIGHLIGHT OF THE GAME The Arizona Rattlers put together an incredible comeback in the last 27 seconds of the team's 48-47 victory over Orlando in Week 4. It began when DB Virgil Gray intercepted a tipped pass on Arizona's five-yard line. The next play, QB Nick Davila connected with WR/LB Jason Geathers for a 31-yard gain. Two plays later, Davila would find Geathers again, this time for a touchdown. Still down one point, Davila found WR Trandon Harvey on the two-point conversion in the back of the end zone with eight seconds to play, giving the Rattlers a 48-47 victory.
Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week candidates included: Cleveland's Troy Bergeron, Milwaukee's RJ Archer, Orlando's Nick Hill, Tulsa's Matt Bassuener and Utah's Aaron Boone. Riddell Defensive Player of the Week candidates included: Georgia's Eric Crosby, Milwaukee's Andre Jones, San Jose's Chris Perri and Tulsa's Jamar Ransom JLS Ironman of the Week candidates included: Chicago's Kelvin Morris, Pittsburgh's Gary Butler and Spokane's Emery Sammons
