Rolling Meadows, Illinois - Mark Hammersmith, President of the Chicago Hitmen would like present to our fans, our local community, our sponsors and the hockey community at large our organizational mission statement.
Says Hammersmith of the statement below, "After much discussion with hockey staff and organizational staff, I am proud to announce this mission statement. Being a new team to the North American Hockey League, I felt it was important that we let the hockey community know, both locally and across the county, what we the Chicago Hitmen, are trying to accomplish and what we stand for". The statement is as follows:
To provide our players with the opportunity to participate at a competitive level of sport as a means to enhance their skills on and off the ice through physical, social, and leadership development. Our job is to put thebest team on the ice and prepare these young men for their journey through college, professional hockey and life.
To perform our duties relative to this organization with the highest level of professionalism, diligence, integrity and respect with the aim of being examples and leaders in the community in which we live and serve.
To provide our fans with the best hockey entertainment experience we possibly can with a team that is competitive, focused on winning and with a staff that puts customer service first.
To build this organization into the premier franchise at its current level of play with the goal of advancing it to greater standards of entertainment value, fan enjoyment, community involvement and player development.
The NAHL has 25 teams from across North America, priding itself on the social maturity and skill development of student-athletes ages 16-20 with aspirations of advancing to collegiate and/or professional hockey. See nahl.com for information.
