WATCH: Match Highlights
Accam leveled in the 73rd minute with some nifty footwork in Columbus' box. John Goossens slid a pass on the ground to Accam in the area, and the Ghanaian speedster created space with a cut back to his right foot with a Crew SC defender on his back. Accam fired with his right foot, curling a low shot inside the far post.
Nemanja Nikolic and Jorge Bava made their first career MLS and Fire starts. Additionally, Homegrown Player Drew Conner made his regular season professional debut with a stoppage-time substitution.
The Men in Red return to action for their 2017 home opener against Real Salt Lake on Saturday, March 11 at Toyota Park. Kickoff is 1 p.m. CT on CSN Chicago.
