
Chicago Fire Loan Goalkeeper Alec Kann to Charlotte

Charlotte, NC -- The Charlotte Eagles and Chicago Fire have agreed to terms on a loan of former Furman Paladin goalkeeper Alec Kann.
Kann, 24, is a native of Decatur, GA and spent four years playing for Furman University before joining the Charleston Battery in 2012. While at Furman Kann compiled a 37-17-6 career record and recorded 18 shutouts. In 2011 he earned NSCAA All-South Region honors along with All-Southern Conference and NSCAA Scholar All-America accolades. He also posted a 14-4-4 record and helped the Paladins reach the NCAA Tournament.
Kann is the second former Paladin to join the Eagles this season, as defender Jonathan Leathers was signed from the Vancouver Whitecaps in the off-season.
Charlotte returns to action tomorrow night when Oklahoma City Energy FC visit the Queens Sports Complex for a 7 pm kickoff. Tickets can be purchased at an advanced sale price of $7.50 for Adults and $5.50 for Children until midnight tonight. Tickets can be purchased at www.charlotteeagles.com.
