CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced that the Club has signed Chicago Fire FC II winger Omari Glasgow to a short-term agreement. Glasgow will be available for today's MLS regular season home match against Charlotte FC at Soldier Field.
Glasgow, 20, made his Major League Soccer in the Club's home match against the New England Revolution at Soldier Field. The Guyana native entered the match in the 79th minute for Homegrown midfielder Brian Gutiérrez. With the appearance, Glasgow became the first-ever Chicago Fire FC II player to feature for the First Team in MLS regular season action.
Since joining the Club, Glasgow has appeared in 42 matches (40 starts) for Chicago Fire FC II. In his three seasons with the Fire, Glasgow has recorded 12 goals and 10 assists. Glasgow was the youngest player in competition history to earn the honor at just 20 years of age.
This is Glasgow's third short-term agreement of the 2024 regular season. Per MLS rules, a Club may sign a player from its affiliate (MLS NEXT Pro or USL) to a maximum of four Short-Term Agreements (up to four-day contracts) each season (maximum of 16 days).
