Chicago Fire FC Launch Podcast, "The Intercontinental Football Show," Featuring Arlo White and Tyler Terens

Chicago Fire FC News Release

CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced - recognizing the dearth of podcasts in the world right now and knowing that football across the globe lacks coverage - the Club's newest podcast, The Intercontinental Football Show, featuring Fire play-by-play commentators Arlo White and Tyler Terens.

"We felt like there aren't enough podcasts covering football, so we put our heads together and tried to fill the void," said White. "We wanted to get in the pod space early, be trend-setters."

"We didn't see much coverage of the EUROs this past month, so we decided to give the people what they want," said Terens.

The pod will cover Chicago Fire FC, MLS, Premier League, as well as global football. Guests will join, laughs will be had, and the sport will finally receive the attention it deserves.

It is available on various podcast platforms, including Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, as well as ChicagoFireFC.com. The debut episode is now live, hot off the (audio) press. New episodes will come out on Thursdays.

White, who recently called his first four Fire games, will record the majority of shows from the United Kingdom, where he serves as the lead play-by-play voice for NBC Sports' Premier League coverage. In the next few weeks, he will record the podcast from Japan, where he will call soccer matches for NBC Olympics during this summer's Tokyo Games. Also, Ted Lasso, Season 2, in which White plays himself, premieres July 23 on Apple TV+. On days that they record the pod, similar to gamedays, White enjoys a cup of soup, specifically a delicious tomato and basil number from Marks & Spencer Food Hall in Leicester, UK.

Terens will usually record the pod from his couch in Lincoln Park, at the Fire offices, or occasionally at his family's home in West Orange, New Jersey. On mornings that they record the pod, similar to gameday mornings, Terens eats a homemade bacon-egg-cheese on an everything bagel with ingredients from his neighborhood Carnival Foods.

Supporters and fans are encouraged to email the show - guest suggestions, general questions for mailbag segments, who is the world's best 6 (position, not jersey number, although it could be both)? - at IFS@chicagofirefc.com.

Terens and Fire analyst and U.S. Soccer Hall of Famer Tony Meola will be back in the booth in Nashville on Saturday night. Chicago Fire FC travels to the Music City to face Nashville SC and former Fire players David Accam, Jalil Anibaba, Dax McCarty and CJ Sapong at 7:30 p.m. CT on WGN-TV, Chicago's Very Own, and CFFC Live, the streaming platform on ChicagoFireFC.com and the Chicago Fire FC mobile app, and Latino Mix 93.5 FM.
