Chicago Fire FC II News Release
CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC II today announced that forward Omari Glasgow was called into national team duty for the Guyana Men's National Team as a part of the upcoming FIFA international window.
Glasgow, 19, is set to participate in the final leg of the CONCACAF Nations League. Guyana currently sits in second place in Group B, trailing first place Haiti by four points ahead of the final two matches.
They're set to resume Group B play against Bermuda on Saturday, March 25 at the Bermuda National Stadium in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda. They'll have another match three days later against Montserrat on Tuesday, March 28 at Wildey Turf in Bridgetown, Barbados.
For Glasgow, this will be his third time being called up to the senior level, including one in the previous FIFA window. Most recently, Glasgow recorded three goals for the Golden Jaguars, including a second half brace that lifted Guyana over Montserrat in the country's CONCACAF Nations League opener. Glasgow would tally another game-winning goal a few days later against Bermuda which had them at the top of Group B for the time being.
At the Club level, Glasgow was one of the bright spots for Chicago Fire FC II in 2022. Recording five goals and four assists in his first professional season, Glasgow looks to carry that momentum into his second season with Chicago. Because of his national team duty, Glasgow will miss the Chicago Fire FC II season opener against Inter Miami CF II on Sunday, March 26 at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
