Chicago Fire FC Defender Miguel Navarro Called up to Venezuela National Team for June Friendlies

CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced that defender Miguel Navarro has been called to the Venezuela National Team for upcoming friendly matches during the June FIFA International window.
Navarro joins the Vinotinto for the second time under head coach Fernando Batista as the team prepares to face Honduras on June 15 in Washington, D.C., and Guatemala on June 18 in East Hartford, Connecticut.
Most recently, Navarro was a member of the Venezuela National Team that traveled to face Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan in March. Navarro has five caps for Venezuela, including a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Argentina. He has also represented Venezuela at the U-23 and U-20 levels.
Since joining the Fire in 2020, Navarro has appeared in 83 matches (70 starts) logging five assists as a defender.
Chicago will face the Houston Dynamo in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at 7:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday, June 6 at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois. Tickets for the match are available here, and the match will be broadcast on the CBS Sports Golazo Network.
