Charleston Battery's MD Myers, Aaron Molloy Named to Week 7 Team of the Week

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The USL Championship announced Tuesday that Charleston Battery players Aaron Molloy and MD Myers were named to the league's Week 7 Team of the Week.

The duo turned in strong showings in the Battery's 1-4 victory over FC Tulsa. Nick Markanich earned an honorable mention to the Team of the Week Bench for his performance with one goal and one assist.

Myers bagged a brace over Tulsa, his first with the Battery. Myers' first goal came in the 9th minute as the striker raced past Tulsa's entire back line before hitting a short curler from inside the box. His second goal was in the 84th minute to seal the victory, a perfectly-placed header to the far post. It's Myers' first Team of the Week selection.

Molloy had an all-around performance from midfield during the victory over Tulsa. He assisted Myers' second goal with a pinpoint cross into the box. Molloy also led the match with five chances created and 11 recoveries, along with three successful dribbles and 11 duels won. It's Molloy's second Team of the Week selection.

The pair of Team of the Week nods brings the Battery's season total to nine.
