Chang Promoted to Louisville, Gilmartin Added

The Cincinnati Reds have promoted INF Ray Chang to Triple-A Louisville. In a corresponding move, INF Michael Gilmartin has joined the Blue Wahoos from Bakersfield.

Gilmartin joins the Blue Wahoos after playing in two games to start the season for High-A Bakersfield. In those two contests, Gilmartin batted .250 with a homer and two RBI. Originally drafted by the Oakland organization in the 27th round of the 2009 draft, Gilmartin was selected by the Reds in the Triple-A Phase of the 2012 Rule 5 Draft. The Thousand Oaks, CA native spent the last two seasons with High-A Stockton in the A's system. In 2011, the 25-year-old ranked second among A's minor leaguers in triples (9), sixth in RBI (75), seventh in extra-base hits (48) and total bases (215) and eighth in hits (130).

Chang moves up after hitting .400 (4-for-10) in three games. He also had a pair of runs scored in his time with Pensacola.
