NASHUA, NH - The Nashua Silver Knights are excited to announce their opening weekend festivities as they "kick-off" the 2012 season on Friday, June 8th and Sunday, June 10th at Holman Stadium.

The Silver Knights enter the 2012 season as the first-ever defending champions of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. As part of the festivities on Opening Night on Friday, June 8th at Holman Stadium the players from the 2011 Championship Team, Coaching Staff and Front Office will receive their FCBL Championship Rings in a special pre-game ceremony in front of the hometown fans.

"Opening Night at Holman is going to be a very special night for everyone," said Silver Knights President Tim Bawmann. "To win the FCBL Championship during the inaugural season is something that will always be remembered in league history. From the players to the coaching staff to the front office everyone worked extremely hard and we are excited to present them their Championship Rings on Opening Night."

During the season the Silver Knights will be doing a special Championship Ring Raffle. For $25 fans can purchase a raffle ticket, and one winner will be selected and announced at the 2012 FCBL All-Star Game at Holman Stadium. Only 100 tickets will be sold and the winner's ring will be personalized.

After the game on Opening Night fans will be treated to a Fireworks Show. Every Friday night during the season the Silver Knights will have a post-game Fireworks show for all the fans in attendance.

On Sunday, June 10th New England Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski will be in attendance at the Silver Knights game to help "kick-off" opening weekend. Between-innings he will be kicking autographed footballs into the crowd from the field. Many lucky fans will walk home with an autographed football from the Patriots kicker himself.
