Through games of October 19.
WEST
Edmonton (16 GP - 24 PTS) The Eskimos need one point in their last two games to clinch first in the division. A loss next week to Saskatchewan, and a Winnipeg win in Hamilton would setup a showdown between the teams on November 2nd for the division title and the accompanying first round playoff bye.
Winnipeg (16 GP - 20 PTS) The Bombers magic number to finish ahead of Saskatchewan and at least third in the West is two points. They need three points to stay ahead of the Lions and secure a home playoff date. As indicated above, the Bombers have a chance at first with a win next week and an Edmonton loss.
Saskatchewan (16 GP - 18 PTS) The Riders clinched their first playoff spot since 1997 with their win on October 19th. To finish second, the Riders must win their last two games and hope for two Winnipeg losses or ties. To finish third and stay in the West side of the playoffs, they simply need to defeat the Lions on November 1st.
B.C. (16 GP - 18 PTS) To finish the season ahead of Saskatchewan, the Lions have to win their game on November 1st against the Riders by at least three points. To finish the season ahead of Winnipeg, the Lions need one more win than the Bombers in the final two weeks.
Calgary (16 GP - 12 PTS) The Stampeders were eliminated from their loss to Winnipeg last week. It's the first time they will miss the post-season since 1988 and a first for head coach Wally Buono.
EAST
Montreal (15 GP - 25 PTS) The Alouettes clinched first place in the East almost a month ago and are expecting up to 55,000 people at Olympic Stadium for the Eastern Final on November 17th.
Hamilton (16 GP - 13 PTS) With the third spot in the East now impossible for one the remaining Ontario teams, only second position remains. The Ti-Cats can take the spot by winning their last two contests, Toronto losing both of theirs, or one of each.
Toronto (16 GP - 12 PTS) The Argonauts can clinch second place and a home playoff date at Skydome with one more win than the Tabbies in the next two weeks.
Ottawa (15 GP - 8 PTS) For the Renegades to qualify 6 things must happen. They must win their final three games, Hamilton must lose their two remaining games and Toronto must lose to Calgary on November 3rd.
