CFL announces details of Ottawa dispersal draft

TORONTO, ON - April 10, 2006 - The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today that it will hold a 2006 Ottawa Player Dispersal Draft by teleconference on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 4pm ET. In making the announcement, the CFL's Chief Operating Officer, Michael Copeland, confirmed the draft order which is consistent with current waiver priorities. Draft selection will be as follows:

1. Hamilton

2. Winnipeg

3. Saskatchewan

4. Calgary

5. Toronto

6. B.C.

7. Montreal

8. Edmonton

Each member club will be allotted three minutes to make a selection in each round. Additionally, each member club will be entitled to one (1) three-minute timeout. Dispersal draft rounds will continue until all players are selected or until each club has passed on its selection in a given round.
