Shreveport clinched the first-half East Division title with a thrilling victory over Pensacola. Down 2-1 in the ninth, 3B Tony Schifano hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game, and SS Jose Gonzalez then scored on a James Gregg wild pitch for the winning run. Josh Gold had another solid outing for the Sports, pitching a complete game and allowing two runs on nine hits, striking out three.

JACKSON AT EDINBURG â Suspended @ Edinburg, Texas.
The game between the Senators and Roadrunners was suspended due to rain with Edinburg leading 3-2 in the second inning and will be resumed at 5:05 before Saturday's regularly scheduled game.

The game between the Dillas and Aviators was postponed due to rain and will be made up as part of a doubleheader starting at 5:05 Saturday.

San Angelo got on the board early, scoring two in the second, and added five more in the sixth to get an easy victory over Fort Worth. Chris Flanagan and Luis Salazar combined to limit the Cats to four hits while striking out ten. San Angelo spread the offense around, as DH Bert Aguilar was the only Colt to have more than one hit, one of which was a double.
