
Celebrate The Start Of Summer At Silver Cross Field

JOLIET, IL-The Joliet JackHammers return home to battle the Winnipeg Goldeyes in the start of a six-game home stand at Silver Cross Field on Sunday, June 14 at 2:05 p.m. As a special thank you to our great fans, and to celebrate the start of summer, the JackHammers have decided to reward students that participated in the National City Jammer's Book Buddies Program with two reading club nights: Monday, June 15 against the Goldeyes at 6:05 p.m. and Tuesday, June 16 against the Schaumburg Flyers at 6:05 p.m. Kids will run the bases on the field after both games! As always, fan can exchange reading club vouchers at every Tuesday home game throughout the season.
"This next home stand is going to be a blast," said JackHammers Gameday & Promotions Manager Sean Keegan. "Silver Cross Field is the place to be for great family fun this summer!"
The JackHammers start a three-game series with the Winnipeg Goldeyes on Sunday at 2:05 p.m. It's a special doubleheader with two seven-inning games against the Goldeyes. Another "Family Autograph Sunday" with JackHammers players and coaches signing autographs on the field follows the second game of the twin bill. Two Hawaiian Tropic Girls will also be on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch as well as sign autographs on the concourse for fans until 5:30 p.m.
On Monday, June 15 the JackHammers and Goldeyes play at 6:05 p.m. The JackHammers play host to a "Holy Half Price Monday" with half-off group tickets. Students with National City Jammer's Book Buddies vouchers may use them for lawn seats to the game! As always, upgrades to Box Seats are just $5.00! All kids in attendance will run the bases after the game!
Our first Family Night happens on Tuesday, June 16 when the JackHammers start a three-game series with the Schaumburg Flyers at 6:05 p.m. It's Pirate Night at Silver Cross Field with fans encouraged to dress up as pirates along with the JackHammers staff! Students can come out to the ballpark with their families for another reading club night! National City Jammer's Book Buddies vouchers can be exchanged for one lawn seat to the game. A special 6:05 p.m. start means students run the bases on the field after the game!
"Winning Wednesday" on June 17 is expected to be a blast! The JackHammers and Flyers play at 7:05 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring their gloves to Silver Cross Field for a pre-game catch on the field from 6:10-6:40 p.m. It's easy to do! All you have to do is enter the playing surface via the right field berm! Fans will have a blast playing Baseball Bingo at the ballpark. The JackHammers will also award $1,000 to a random charitable/fundraising group in attendance! The home stand concludes on Thursday, June 18 against the Flyers at 7:05 p.m. It's "Thirst Quenching Thursday" with $1.50 Budweiser Products at the Louie's Pad rooftop in left field. The JackHammers will hand out Pint Glasses to the first 1,000 fans 21 and over! The "Hammer Time Team" will be on hand to pass out prizes and tickets. Fans can also celebrate Redneck Night at Silver Cross Field!
