Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, proud members of the United Hockey League, will play a full slate of games during the UHL's 12 week, including three games at the Rockford MetroCentre. The week is highlighted by the final visit from the Fort Wayne Komets on Wednesday and the first ever New Year's eve game against the defending Colonial Cup Champion Muskegon Fury.
Wednesday night, December 29, the IceHogs host Fort Wayne for the third and final time this season at 7:05 p.m. The top two teams in the Western Division will butt heads for the third time in the past 11 days and first in Rockford during the stretch. Come and Pig Out with the IceHogs and the rock station, WXRX, 104.9 FM, with a pulled pork sandwich and a beer for only $5.
Then on Friday, December 31, the Fury return to Rockford for their third visit of the campaign. Come and celebrate the New Year with the IceHogs at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs Smash Hit Hockey Rally Towel courtesy of Belvidere Physical Therapy.
After a road game in Missouri on Saturday night, the IceHogs return home for the tail end of a home-and-home series with the River Otters at the MetroCentre. Game time Sunday is 3:05 p.m. and Sunday is a Family Four Pack Day! Fans can purchase four tickets, four hot dogs and four soft drinks for only $40. Also, don't forget to bring your skates because you can skate with the Hogs immediately following the game.
