Cedric Ceballos And Maywood Buzz Extend Winning Streak
December 14, 2008 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maywood Buzz News Release
Phoenix, AZ. Former NBA All-Star Cedric Ceballos made his 2008-2009 Maywood Buzz regular season debut and made it in style. Ceballos, who started his NBA career in Phoenix with the suns and still works with them today, at times looked like the Cedric of Los Angeles Lakers days. "We had this date circled on the calendar as the day we knew that Cedric would be joining the team," stated Buzz Head Coach Burrel Lee III. "And thanks to Cedric, we were able to keep our winning streak in tact against a very tough Arizona Rhino squad."
The final score of the game was 100-91. Ceballos had 23 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks. Wesley Stokes had 21 points, 11 assist and 2 steals. Isaac Burton added 15 points and 3 steals, Joey Saavedra had 12 and 3 while Ken Wright had 8 points and 7 assists. Rookie guard Keion Kindred had his second 10 rebound game.
