LAWTON, OKLA- In front of a crowd of 1526, the Oklahoma Cavs came ready to beat the Pittsburgh Xplosion. Forward Curtis Haywood started things up with a 3-pointer.

The Cavalry started new addition Guard Brandon Dean, who scored 28 points in his debut to put the Cavs ahead by 11 at the end of the first quarter.

Despite a slow first quarter start, Forward Albert White drained 4 3-pointers to bring the

Xplosion within 4 points before halftime. White's 23 point effort was not enough to help the Xplosion.

The Cavs came out in the second half on fire and increased their lead to as many as 17. Haywood hit 4 from behind the arch leading the Cavs in scoring with 29 points, and CBA

All-Star Marvin Phillips pulled a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds.

"This was a great game," said Head Coach Michael Ray Richardson.

"Brandon Dean was our missing piece. He's smart and understands basketball. This was a great win for us," added Richardson.
