Cavs Take First Game Against Sun Kings

LAWTON, OKLA- The Oklahoma Cavs faced off against the Yakama Sun Kings in action at the Great Plains Coliseum to beat them 100-91 and to push their win streak to 13 games.

The Sun Kings almost took the first quarter from the Cavs with Guard Tim Ellis scoring 14 of the Sun Kings 19 quarter points. The Cavs came out on top with two 3-pointers from Curtis Haywood to win the first quarter and to go on and win 6 quarter points.

The night's leading scorer was Daryan Selvy with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Brandon Dean added 22 points and 9 boards, and Center Tony Key chipped in 17 points.

Sun Kings Guard Denarryl Rice tried to make it a close game in the fourth quarter scoring 11 points off the bench. Tim Ellis led his team with 27 points and Forward Harvey Thomas added 20 points.

"This was a big win. I'm sure knowing, Paul (Yakama's Head Coach) they will come out ready. We will just have to come out with the same intensity and play 48 minutes," said Head Coach Michael Ray Richardson.

The Cavs and Sun Kings will have another match tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. Come cheer on the Cavs and wear your Cavs blue!
