Cavs Storm Past the Rainmen

LAWTON, Okla. - The Cavs defeated the Rainmen with a score of 105-94 last night in Halifax's Metro Centre in front of 2,100 fans.

The Cavs started the first quarter trailing behind the Rainmen but soon gained control at the end of the first half with a score of 52-37.

In the second half of the game, the Rainmen tried to make a comeback but the Cavs wouldn't give up their strong lead of 78-65 at the end of the third quarter.

Although the Rainmen scored 29 points and the Cavs only scored 27 points in the fourth quarter, the Cavs took the win with the final score of 105-94.

The leading scorer for the Cavs was forward Elvin Mims with 24 points who was 12-20 while the Rainmen's leading scorer was guard Taliek Brown with 18 points who was 7-12.

The Cavs are currently undefeated as they wait to play against the Saint John Mill Rats at 2:35 pm this Sunday in the Great Plains Coliseum.
