LAWTON, OKLA.- Sparked by Lawton native Malcolm Johnson in the fourth quarter, the Cavs rallied back from a 12-point deficit to take their second win over the Great Falls Explorers 102-97 and improved to 5-0 on the season.

Daryan Selvy scored a game-high 29 points for the Cavs. Curtis Haywood and Malcolm Johnson chipped in 14 and 13 points respectively.

Cavalry Head Coach Michael Ray Richardson said he was proud of how his team fought hard to stay in the game.

"We showed a lot of character tonight after being down by 12 in the third quarter to come back and win the game," Coach Richardson said. "We didn't shoot that well from the free throw line, but it was just one of those nights. We're still on a roll."

Haywood's four consecutive field-goals for 8 points ignited the Cavs offense in the first quarter, but the game stayed close through the first half. The Explorers took the lead into halftime 45-48.

After trailing the entire third quarter, Malcolm Johnson came off the bench to spark the Cavs offense in the fourth quarter. The Lawton High grad lit up the nets with 13 points and the Cavs took back the lead 89-87 on his 2-point field-goal with 4:13 left to play.

The Explorers fought back and stayed in the game right until the end with Nate Johnson's 3-pointer with 20 seconds to go in the game. The Cavs were able to make the free throws in the last few seconds to hang on to the win.

Nate Johnson led the Explorers, scoring 14 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter. Nate Green and Williams Maupins both earned double-doubles. Green had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Maupins scored 13 points with 11 rebounds. Cody Toppert and Tyler Hughes rounded out the Explorers double-digit scorers with 12 and 11 points respectively.

After four straight home games, the Cavs head to Great Falls on Dec. 5 embarking on an 8-game road trip through the end of December. Fans will not get to see the Cavs back in action at home until December 27 when they face Great Falls again, but will be able to tune into Magic 95 to hear all the away games live.
