Cavs Release Final Roster for 2011

Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry News Release


LAWTON, Okla. - The Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry released their final roster for the 2011 team today.

The roster consists of: Returning players from 2010 Championship team: Brandon Dean, DeAnthony Bowden, Shawn Daniels, Shaun Fountain, Eddie Smith, Jamaal Davis, and Elvin Mims, Curtis Haywood from the 2008 Championship team and newcomers DeAndre Thomas and Jermaine Blackburn.

Thomas is a graduate of Indiana University and is a forward/center. Thomas played for the Halifax Rainmen briefly in the 2010 season. He also played with IBL team the Albany Legends and was a part of the 2010 IBL Championship team. He was named Championship MVP.

Blackburn is a graduate of Boise State and is a forward/guard. Blackburn played with the Idaho Stampede from 2005-2007. He also played with the Yakima Sun Kings in the 2007-2008 CBA season.

The Cavs will have their season opener at 2:35 pm this Sunday at Great Plains Coliseum in Lawton. They will face the Kentucky Bluegrass Stallions.
