
Cavs Defeat #1 Yakama Sun Kings

LAWTON, OKLA- Number one Yakama Sun Kings traveled south to visit the Oklahoma Cavs for their second meeting this year. The Cavs came out with a different look this time with new guards Brandon Dean and DeAnthony Bowden, Forward Shawn Daniels, and Center Tony Key to defeat the Sun Kings by one 92-91.
The Cavs and Sun Kings went head to head in the first quarter tying it up once, but to fall behind by 3 points at the end of the quarter.
In the second quarter the Cavs came back on fire to lead by as many as 10 points. Center Tony Key led the Cavs in the second quarter with 5 points. Key scored 15 points on the night, Curtis Haywood and Marvin Phillips both added 17 points and 10 rebounds on the night, Daryan Selvy poured in 16, and Dean chipped in 10.
After halftime, the Cavs really came alive outscoring the Sun Kings 28-15 in the third quarter. Despite the 16 point Cavs lead, the number one team in the conference came back in the fourth quarter to cut the Cavs lead to only 2 points with thirty-one seconds left in the game.
