Aurora Cavalry News Release
Aurora,CO- The Aurora Cavalry were hoping to head into the break with a 11-2 record but the Tri-City Ballers had different intentions. The Ballers tied the score with a desperation three pointer to send the game into overtime and then won the game 141-139 on a three point play by Anthony Johnson.
Six players scored in double figures for the Cavalry with Mike Buggs and Phillip Hillstock leading the charge, each with 24 points. Jamar Brown also contributed with 22 points and Michael Morse with 15 points. Rock Winston led the Ballers with 31 and Javaon Harris added 26.
The loss sends the Cavalry to 9-3 but still retain first place in the competitive Western Conference. The Cavalry will need a win next Saturday against the Crossover to maintain their first place standing heading into the tough California road trip. The Cavalry will play four games in four days on June 15-18 against three very tough teams, Tri-City (twice), Oakland, and Chico.
The Cavalry will not play again at home for over a month. The next Cavalry home game will be against the Eugene (Oregon) Chargers (6-3) on Thursday June 22nd at 7pm at Gateway High School. For more information, please contact 303-321-1053 or email info@auroracavalry.com
