
Cavalry FC Signs Forward Owen Antoniuk and Midfielder Max Piepgrass to CPL- U SPORTS Contracts

Calgary, AB - - Cavalry FC of the Canadian Premier League (CPL) today announced the signing of forward Owen Antoniuk and midfielder Max Piepgrass to CPL U SPORTS contracts ahead of the 2026 CPL Regular Season.
Antoniuk, 23, returns to Cavalry after being selected as the 16th overall pick in the 2025 CPL-U SPORTS Draft. He made six appearances for the Cavs throughout the 2025 season before returning to the University of Calgary in September, where he scored ten goals and provided four assists over 15 appearances, and was named First Team All-Canadian.
Piepgrass, 22, signed a CPL-U SPORTS contract with his hometown club Cavalry in 2025 and made 17 appearances for the Cavs before returning to Cape Breton University to continue his schooling in August of last year. This marks his fourth stint with the club, after Piepgrass signing a development contract in 2021.
Cavalry FC kicks off the 2026 CPL Regular Season away to Pacific FC on Sunday, April 5 at 4 p.m. MT. The Cavs will host its 2026 home opener on ATCO Field at Spruce Meadows on Sunday, April 12 at 2 p.m. MT. For more information and tickets, visit cavalryfc.ca/tickets.
